Navajeeva Kendram is a treatment and rehabilitation center started on 1989 as a joint project of Ranny- Nilackal Diocese of Marthoma Syrian Church & M.T.E.A registered under Krupa Samithy P-761/98 and has a capacity of 15 families. This has the good will gained by the service of Oklahoma Medical Center a project of M.T.E.A functioned before in the same building. Later for some years the service of medical center was provided to people in the name Navajeeva Kendram Clinic along with addiction treatment. Now Navajeeva Kendram fully concentrates on the awareness and treatment programs for alcoholics and drug addicts.

The location of the center is very vital for the treatment. It is situated on the top of a mountain. It is very calm and peaceful. This helps the patients to ease out from their withdrawal symptoms and relax. It also helps them to evaluate their past and reconstitute a new life style.

Our mission inspired by Christ’s mission is to create a harmonious healthy society with love by healing the blindness caused by the addiction; raising the addict and his family from the handicapping problems of addiction and cleansing his name from the blacklist of rejected. Bring the addict to normal life by loving and healing him and spreading the light of awareness to prevent addiction. To provide treatment at affordable rates than in hospitals.

The treatment of Navajeeva Kendram has a holistic approach to the healing of the alcoholics and drug addicts. The treatment focuses to identify and change the core issue or problem which blocks the person to lead a healthy happy life. The treatment is based on the concept of considering addiction as a disorder, which may have its roots in childhood, parenting, experiences or behavior learning, hereditary factors and personality factors.

The treatment program begins with minimum 15 days residential program. In which the patient go through medication for withdrawals, psycho education, assessment, group therapy, skill training, yoga, meditation and prayer, relaxation therapy, counseling, psycho therapy, hypnotherapy and family therapy.

The duration of treatment program is considered as a life long continuous process which has 3 phases:

1. Residential treatment program

2. Follow up counseling process and group programs

3. Recharging and empowering A.A meetings
