The fear of experiencing similar violence can lead to symptoms of anxiety, hypervigilance, and avoidance. Women may start to avoid being alone in workplaces, especially after dark, or feel anxious about entering public spaces they once navigated comfortably.

The doctor who lost her life in this incident was a symbol of professional achievement and service, yet her life was brutally taken in a space where she should have been respected and protected.
